Kenilworth Castle

Kenilworth Castle has been around for more than nine centuries. The Norman keep dates from the 1120s and the fortress endured one of the longest sieges in medieval English history in 1266.

Queen Elizabeth I’s childhood friend Robert Dudley took possession of the castle in 1563. He was trying to rizz up the Queen and failed miserably… but at least he threw a cracking party.

I frequently visit Kenilworth Castle as the walk around the outskirts of the castle is one if my favourites. It’s a beautiful castle, with so much rich history and a lot to learn. I’d also recommend visiting the town, as there is a lot to learn about it’s history and links to the castle.

There are a lot of events of during the year so keep and eye out when planning your visit.
